Tom Vogt represents emerging and established companies in a broad range of corporate matters. He advises clients on entity formations, venture financing, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and securities compliance.
Tom regularly represents buyers and sellers in public and private M&A transactions. His M&A practice informs his work with startup companies, allowing Tom to guide his clients from formation through early investment and venture capital financings with an eye towards long-term growth or a successful exit. In his securities and public company practice, Tom counsels publicly traded clients on regulatory compliance, public offerings, and corporate governance.
Tom also participates actively in the firm's knowledge management efforts, helping to build the internal resources that improve the efficiency and quality of legal service. Before joining Perkins Coie, Tom gained experience as a federal judicial extern for the Hon. Michael H. Simon and clerked for the Oregon Department of Justice. Tom maintains an active pro bono practice and serves on the Portland office's pro bono committee.
