Taylor R. Russell

Taylor has worked with clients in a wide range of industries, including real estate, retail, wholesale, technology and internet services, and publishing. She has significant experience with pretrial litigation, including conducting factual investigation, managing complex e-discovery productions, and drafting discovery, discovery-related motions, and dispositive motions. Taylor has helped clients resolve their cases without the need for trial, including by settlement and mediation. Her recent successes include: securing confirmation of an arbitration award in federal court for a national wholesaler; drafting a winning fee motion that resulted in an order requiring the opposing party to pay the client's legal fees and costs incurred during the entire litigation; successfully arguing a motion to quash an invasive subpoena issued to a large technology client; winning a dismissal of claims asserted against a real estate client; and facilitating a tenant's surrender of the premises in an unlawful detainer matter.

In addition to her business litigation practice, Taylor is also committed to pro bono work. She recently helped a human rights organization secure sponsorship for a state assembly bill that would reduce modern-day human trafficking. Taylor has also represented death row inmates in a class-action litigation pending before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
