Sara supports pro bono across the firm, building relationships with legal services organizations nationwide to ensure our lawyers have meaningful opportunities to use their legal skills in service of the community.
She also creates impactful ways for the firm’s corporate clients to join us in doing pro bono.
Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Sara was Director of Public Interest Programs in the Career Development Office at UC, Berkeley, School of Law, where she advised law students on careers in public interest law.
During her time practicing as a public-interest lawyer, Sara spent nearly 15 years as the managing attorney at the AIDS Legal Referral Panel (ALRP), a nonprofit organization serving people living with HIV/AIDS in the Bay Area. She is currently serving on the Board of Trustees at Head-Royce School, an independent school in Oakland, CA and is the former President of the Board of Directors for the Eviction Defense Collaborative in San Francisco.
