Runkun (Justin) Jiang
Justin is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice.
An aspiring patent litigator, Justin Jiang started his journey as a Perkins Coie summer associate both in 2022 and 2023. He graduated top of his law school class in 2024 with comprehensive coursework on legal research, discovery, fact and expert evidence, and trial practices.
Justin’s patent litigation skills are rooted in his patent prosecution experience. He has been a registered patent agent in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office since 2019. He worked at two reputable intellectual property boutique law firms before joining Perkins Coie. His patent prosecution experience spans telecommunications, software, artificial intelligence, financial services, and semiconductor technologies.
Informed by his research and engineering experience, Justin can speak the language of the inventors. Prior to his career in patent law, he conducted extensive research at The Pennsylvania State University for his Ph.D. dissertation. Subsequently, he worked as an engineer for a semiconductor manufacturing company, where he managed daily operations in the photolithography area and tested new materials and processes for fabricating integrated circuits.
