Nicholas Surprise earned his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School. During law school, he served as senior articles editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. He was also a member of the Moot Court Board. Nicholas worked as a post-doctoral research associate for the University of Wisconsin Law School’s State Democracy Research Initiative before joining Perkins Coie. Prior to his law career, he worked in cell therapy. Nicholas also has significant experience in election-law litigation. Most recently, he assisted in Perkins Coie’s representation of the Democratic National Committee and Vice President Kamala D. Harris in a variety of matters involving the 2024 Wisconsin presidential election.
