Neela earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, where she was a Gregoire fellow, Eugene A. Wright scholar, and CALI Excellence for the Future Award winner. She also served on the American Association for Justice Mock Trial Team and the Moot Court Honor Board.
In 2021 and 2022, Neela was a summer associate at Perkins Coie in the Seattle office. Before practicing law, Neela was an international broadcast journalist.
