Michael S. Paisner
Mike is a seasoned lawyer and corporate executive with experience handling a broad range of litigation, arbitration, investigation, and compliance matters and navigating corporate crises.
Mike Paisner's assistance to clients is informed by his time in government and as a senior lawyer at a leading aerospace company, where he served most recently as the vice president responsible for supervising the company's international disputes, aviation product liability, and government contract litigation dockets, as well as other strategic litigation, regulatory, and investigation matters.
In this and his prior roles, Mike handled numerous major litigations and arbitrations, including commercial disputes ranging to the billions of dollars and multiple pieces of complex business, product liability, securities, and other litigation. He also led the company's response to significant government investigations and served in a senior position on the compliance leadership team. During his tenure, he developed deep knowledge of crisis management and incident response, including in connection with parallel litigation, regulatory, civil and criminal enforcement, and congressional proceedings and public relations challenges stemming from high-profile product incidents. In addition, Mike is an experienced appellate lawyer, having argued cases in the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Fourth, Seventh, Ninth, and Tenth Circuits.
Prior to his in-house roles, Michael practiced at a leading firm in Washington, D.C., and served as an attorney-adviser for the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Legal Counsel.
Mike is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where he received the John Ordronaux Prize for achieving the highest academic average in his graduating class. Following law school, Michael clerked for the Honorable Dennis G. Jacobs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
Mike writes regularly for legal publications on a variety of litigation and arbitration-related topics.
