Meredith is a seasoned environmental lawyer with trial experience strengthened by her tenure at the U.S. Department of Justice.
Meredith Weinberg represents corporate and municipal clients involved in multiparty cleanup litigation under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Washington's Model Toxic Control Act; Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404 permitting and stormwater matters; Safe Drinking Water Act enforcement cases; and state and federal tribal disputes. She also counsels clients on environmental regulations and compliance and performs due diligence in support of real estate and other transactions.
Meredith's environmental experience comes in part from her prior government service at the DOJ, where she tried several multimillion-dollar cases involving CERCLA claims brought against the U.S. Department of Defense. Her litigation matters there also included Resource Conservation and Recovery Act matters; Section 404 enforcement cases; defending administrative record matters brought against federal agencies, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and defending military installations against CWA stormwater citizen suits. Prior to her government work, Meredith represented private sector clients in toxic tort litigation matters and conducted numerous environmental audits.

Represented U.S. EPA in Administrative Procedure Act challenge to approval of California state water quality listings under the CWA.
