Mark Quehrn represents private and public sector clients in connection with project development, licensing, regulatory compliance, and decommissioning. He has experience with a wide range energy facilities and infrastructure projects, including energy projects, water supply and water resource projects, linear infrastructure projects, and port and terminal facility developments in the United States and internationally.
Mark represents clients before numerous federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Mark has more than 35 years of experience with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) hydropower licensing, compliance, dam safety, and decommissioning matters. Substantive areas of experience include the Federal Power Act, Public Utility Regulation, the National Environmental Policy Act, the Clean Water Act, the Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Water Law, and Indian Law.
Mark was a partner at Perkins Coie more than 30 years and has recently changed his status to of counsel, transitioning from a full-time practice to part time status. He remains committed to his clients, his firm, and to working collaboratively with regulators and stakeholders to deliver durable and cost-effective solutions to complex problems.
