Liana Sulaiman has extensive experience advising clients in the healthcare industry on corporate and regulatory matters, including corporate governance, business and technology transactions, and fraud and abuse.
Liana has experience drafting and negotiating agreements for software licensing, third-party vendors, asset purchases, partnerships, and professional services. She also regularly advises on compliance matters involving HIPAA, the Stark Law, federal and state anti-kickback laws, the corporate practice of medicine doctrine, federal and state antitrust laws, the Brown Act for public entities, and other healthcare regulations. Further, she helps clients with business transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions (M&A); entity formation, including structuring compliant "Friendly PC" entities; and obtaining tax-exempt status for nonprofit organizations.
