Divya focuses her practice on technology, media, and intellectual property transactions and product counseling across a variety of industries.
Divya Taneja's experience includes negotiating complex outsourcing contracts, technology and content development agreements and licenses, and similar transactions. Divya also has extensive experience in the media industry, and has worked on drafting and negotiating agreements for major content owners and platforms for the licensing of music, TV, film, and other content for transmitting, streaming, or downloading through traditional and emerging distribution methods. In addition, she has also managed all intellectual property-related legal aspects of corporate transactions, including drafting merger and purchase agreements and analyses of intellectual property and privacy issues. She represents emerging growth and established companies in the gaming, entertainment, software, music, social media, e-commerce, and sports industries.
Divya has counseled clients on data privacy matters, including advising on privacy policies and procedures and counseling clients on compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. She has been certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) as a certified information privacy professional.
Divya has an active pro bono practice that includes intellectual property-related work for clients through Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts. She also has experience working on anti-trafficking immigration matters on a pro bono basis.
