Coimbra is an associate in the Technology Transactions & Privacy Law practice.
Coimbra Jackson advises clients on issues relating to technology-related transactions. Her clients include sophisticated and emerging companies offering cloud-based services, Internet of Things (IoT) products and devices, consumer products, and telecommunications. Coimbra has counseled on legal issues arising from artificial intelligence and machine learning products, including issues related to privacy and machine learning product liability. She is currently engaged in work focused on combating bias in artificial intelligence and machine learning in consumer-facing services.
Coimbra has assisted in large M&A projects where she is tasked with counseling the client on relevant privacy and IP issues. In her previous practice of patent litigation, Coimbra drafted court proceedings, invalidity charts, and memorandums concerning patent issues. She also has experience drafting motions and declarations as well as reviewing deposition transcripts for relevant evidence submissions. Coimbra often leans on her previous knowledge gained while practicing patent litigation to better serve her technology clients in their technology-based transactions.
Maintaining an active pro bono practice, Coimbra assists nonprofits with terms of service agreements and privacy policies, and other consumer-facing agreements.
