Chun M. Ng

Working in both the United States and Asia, Chun supports the world's leading innovators.

Chun Ng provides strategic intellectual property (IP) counseling, patent diligence and enforcement, and litigation support to international technology companies, including DJI, HTC Corporation, Mindray Medical International, Monolithic Power Systems Inc., Synology Inc., and Microsoft Corporation. For these companies and others, he handles IP matters and manages adversarial proceedings around the world, particularly in Asia. Chun works regularly in areas including wireless protocols (UMTS, 802.11, LTE), analog and digital circuit design, semiconductors, uncrewed vehicles, and biomedical devices.

Chun has managed numerous inter partes proceedings in the U.S. Patent Office (USPTO) and has briefed and argued appeals before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. When necessary, he coordinates these proceedings with parallel pending patent litigation, developing a hybrid practice in patent litigation, contentious USPTO proceedings, patent licensing, and patent prosecution.

A leader in the firm, Chun served as firmwide chair of the IP practice, Executive Committee member, and Taiwan office managing partner.
