Brian represents companies of all sizes, across industries, in all aspects of employment law and traditional labor matters.
A strategic, hands-on practitioner, Brian Turoff regularly counsels clients, provides training, and litigates in connection with wage and hour and employee compensation matters, discrimination and harassment issues, compliance matters, lawful hiring, disciplinary, and termination practices, and employment-related agreements and policies. Brian is also experienced in handling government audits and investigations, as well as restrictive covenants matters, including non-compete and non-solicitation issues. From early-stage startups to large companies, Brian brings a forward-looking, thoughtful, tailored approach to guiding clients to the best possible employment-related outcomes.
In his traditional labor work, Brian represents clients in connection with collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, union/management relations issues, charges under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), and union organizing and election campaigns.
With experience in civil and administrative litigation, arbitration, and day-to-day client counseling, Brian's work spans industries including healthcare, financial services, media and entertainment, staffing, real estate, technology, and hospitality. He routinely handles matters before the U.S. and state Departments of Labor (DOL), the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), as well as state and federal courts and other administrative and arbitral bodies.
Brian devotes significant time and energy to his pro bono efforts and has been recognized with the Empire State Counsel Pro Bono Award.
