Ben Desch was a summer associate at Perkins Coie in 2022, and assisted in prosecuting patent applications for a variety of technologies in the energy, medical device, and consumer product sectors, among others.
Ben earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law where he was an articles editor for the Washington Law Review.
Prior to beginning his law career, Ben graduated from the Naval Nuclear Power School and worked in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear engineering watch officer aboard the USS Henry M. Jackson. He gained experience managing maintenance teams for a wide variety of nuclear, electrical, hydraulic, high-pressure, and communication systems. He also taught radiological controls and operational nuclear chemistry for pressurized water reactors (PWRs) at a major naval training facility in Bangor, Washington.
