Andrew Tyler Ohlert
Andrew's practice focuses on high-tech patent litigation in federal courts, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
Andrew Ohlert has experience with all aspects of patent litigation, from pre-filing analysis through trial and post-trial briefing, and he has extensive experience working alongside technical experts and preparing witnesses. His computer science background has allowed him to represent clients in a wide range of technologies, including semiconductor fabrication and organization, computer memories, network routing, wireless communications, HVAC systems, and video game controllers.
Andrew has further developed his skills by maintaining an active pro bono practice, with a focus on immigration and technology. Successful representative matters include representing a family of Mexican refugees seeking asylum from persecution based on their familial status; an LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization registering its trademarks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; an international nongovernmental organization in Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings before ICANN to seize a domain name being used for fraudulent purposes; and an organization that provided diversity and inclusion training in high schools.
