Andrew Kalamarides focuses on patent, trade secret, and other areas of intellectual property litigation. He has engaged in both plaintiff- and defense-side litigation across a variety of industries including pharmaceuticals, control systems, energy, telecommunications, agricultural equipment, and beverage containers. Andrew's recent experience includes cross-examining and directing both fact and expert witnesses, securing critical testimony through depositions, and drafting key filings to advance client goals. Andrew has also served as first chair for a client in a contested three-day arbitration in which the client received a full defense victory through a take-nothing award.
Before joining Perkins Coie, Andrew worked as judicial intern for the Hon. Alan Albright of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, where he prepared court documents for several high-profile patent cases. At the University of Texas School of Law, Andrew served as editor-in-chief of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal. He received his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, with a concentration on both synthetic and analytical chemistry.
