His tech background, coupled with a passion for law and technology, forms the basis for his concentration on data privacy and free speech.
In his litigation practice, Alan assists communications service providers and other global technology companies in responding to requests for user data governed by the Stored Communications Act (SCA). He also defends companies in matters involving issues related to digital search, seizure, and First Amendment rights. His counseling practice includes advising companies on compliance with federal and state laws and regulations such as the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA). Additionally, Alan helps companies with internal investigations and regulatory matters related to cybersecurity and data breaches.
Alan is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to and during law school, Alan worked as an electrical engineer, supporting data centers for large tech companies.
