Alexis B. Shankman
Alexis Shankman represents financial institutions in their capacities as indenture trustee and other agency and fiduciary roles in debt transactions.
She has experience working on secured and unsecured debt transactions, private placements pursuant to Rule 144A and Reg S, foreign-denominated debt offerings, insurance-linked securitizations, and asset-backed securitizations, as well as international and domestic debt offerings for Fortune 500 issuers.
Alexis reviews and negotiates financial agreements for debt capital market transactions, including indentures, escrow, custody and agency agreements, security agreements, offering memorandums, and legal opinions. She also represents and counsels corporate trustees and agents in bond default scenarios, work outs, out-of-court restructurings, and Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy proceedings.
