Karan Singh
Karan has extensive experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications and managing patent portfolios, both in the United States and abroad.
Karan Singh is skilled at conducting infringement, invalidity, and freedom-to-operate analyses as well as providing assistance in patent assertion and litigation. He also has experience in post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB).
Karan focuses his practice primarily in the technical areas of blockchain and distributed ledger technology, artificial intelligence, speech processing, image processing, software, robotics, medical devices, wearable devices, electronics, and computer systems. He is particularly skilled in technologies related to machine learning, including deep learning, signal processing, big data, and data mining.
Karan's Ph.D. dissertation work at Cornell University focused on the modeling and management of chip multiprocessor (CMP) power consumption, with advanced coursework in statistics and machine learning. During graduate school, he spent two summers at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a visiting scholar.
