Perkins Coie Appoints Babak Tehranchi as Firmwide Co-Chair of Post-Grant Practice

SEATTLE (May 25, 2023)—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Intellectual Property Partner Babak Tehranchi, Ph.D. has been named firmwide co-chair of the Post-Grant Proceedings practice, effective May 25, 2023. Babak, a Patent Prosecution partner in the firm's San Diego office, will lead the national practice within the firm's Intellectual Property group.

Babak has been involved in more than 85 inter partes reviews (IPR), post-grant reviews (PGR) and covered business method (CBM) review proceedings since the inception of the PTAB. He regularly represents clients on both the petitioner and patent owner sides. Babak has over 10 years of industry experience as a research scientist and engineer and is the inventor of 49 U.S. and international patents.
