Erick Haynie Admitted to the American College of Trial Lawyers
PORTLAND (October 5, 2023)—Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Erick Haynie, a litigation partner in the firm's Portland office, has been admitted as a fellow to the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL). With Erick's induction, Perkins Coie now has 15 fellows in the ACTL.
A commercial trial lawyer with over 25 years of experience, Erick has tried over 55 matters to judgment in addition to numerous injunctive proceedings and dispositive motions. In recent years, his focus has been on the trial of real estate disputes, commercial lease disputes, complex business torts, and large contract disputes. Erick practices before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, the District of Oregon and Oregon's state courts, particularly in Oregon's rural and eastern counties. Erick also represents taxpayers before the Oregon Tax Court.
The ACTL is recognized as the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America, dedicated to maintaining and improving the standards of trial practice, professionalism, ethics, and the administration of justice. Fellowship in the ACTL is extended by invitation only to experienced trial lawyers who have demonstrated the highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism, and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years of trial experience before they can be considered for fellowship.
