Arizona’s Minimum Wage Increases on January 1, 2024

In accordance with A.R.S. § 23-363(B), also known as the Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act, Arizona's minimum wage will increase to $14.35 per hour, effective January 1, 2024.

This increase is subject to a few exemptions and does not apply to any person employed by a parent or sibling, by the state of Arizona or the United States, or by a small business that grosses less than $500,000 in annual revenue, if that small business is exempt from having to pay a minimum wage under section 206(a) of title 29 of the United States Code.

Employers may pay tipped employees a maximum of $3.00 per hour less than the minimum wage if the employer can establish that for each week, when adding tips received to wages paid, the employee received not less than the minimum wage for all hours worked. Certain other conditions must also be met.

Employers should conspicuously display the 2024 minimum wage poster in a place that is accessible to employees. The wage poster can be downloaded and printed here.
