Bingjie (Kay) Li

Kay Li earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, serving as an editor for both the Michigan Technology Law Review and the Michigan Journal of International Law.

She was a student attorney with the University of Michigan Law School Civil-Criminal Litigation Clinic, where she argued in pretrial hearings and negotiated with opposing counsels in settlement matters. She also worked with the law school's Pediatric Advocacy Clinic and helped in cases concerning immigration and guardianships, winning a motion to reopen before the immigration court.

As a legal intern with the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office, Kay participated in multiple cases and provided her supervisors with suggestions on litigation strategies. She also drafted pleadings, discovery and subpoena requests, motions, responses to motions, and research memorandums.

Kay's educational and professional background in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, and manufacturing is valuable in her understanding and analysis of various patents and patent portfolios.
